I HAVE A FLAT TIIIIRE!

So, blown tire. We need new ones so tomorrow morning we will be off to the RV shop. Really nice guy, Jerry came out to help us today. Showed us that all the tires had some kind of dry rot on them. He ordered our tires and will be putting them on.

So now that i have too much πŸ‘ πŸ‘ time on my hands, thought I'd write.

We spent all day just sitting around at the park. Talking to cows. Thinking how glad i was we found this flat before we hit the road. Somebody was watching.  Just relaxed all day. Im bummed we are a day behind, but the rest day was nice.

I have to take a moment here to recognize the Navagator on this magical mystery tour. Jessica has been excellent.  Calling out crazy turns or tight spots, all while being my eyes on the right. All the while being encouraging and telling me how well im doing . Occasionally telling me how i could do better, which i appreciate very much. You're the best Baby. Loves You

Today we find ourselves in the absolute middle of nowhere, i mean nowhere. Or at least it seems. We got off 81 in Blacksburg Virginia on to a smaller highway. Then off to an even smaller road. Which kead us to this tiny one lane road with ditches on both sides. Peaks and valleys. Twists and turns. I mean, Fuck! This is a dicey ride.

We are at this work yard. Exactly what I thought id see. Cars. Run down cars. Big trucks, Parts, pieces, engines and other random things scattered about the yard.  Five big bays for big machines such as mine, and the cast of characters to go with it. You wonder how much life imitates art or art imitates life.

So, the guy who helped us yesterday,  Jerry is here today doing the tire replacement himself.  I have to say, he's done this one or twice.  Genuinely impressed. Didnt even bother to put it in the bay. Backed up his big ass tow truck, jacked that big ass up and went to town. Giggity!😁 Im anxious to see how she handles with new shoes.

The tires feel great! So smooth. Like a different machine all together. We don't bounce around so much and i feel i have more control of the Starship.

The ride out of Virginia into the Carolinas was a bit stressful. I was pretty much wound up because it took longer than we wanted with the tires. Then came the mountains of I77. Fucking straight down.  For fucking miles. Oh, did i mention the hairpin turns halfway down this fucking mountain?
Then we just hit traffic and construction back ups, which put us even further behind than we already were.  We were supposed to stay at my friends John and Marjies tonight, but we just couldn't get there. Im bummed and they are too, but at this point we are still two hours away from them.  We finally stopped about 830 at a Cracker Barrel for the night.

We start the last leg to Florida in the morning. Its gonna be a little bit longer ride, but we will get there. Slow and steady.
